About Amber

Amber is a woman who has fearlessly stepped in to her heroine’s journey, claiming her new story, one in which she chooses to live “authentically ever after”.

She wrote and performed he acclaimed one woman show: Searching For The Moon, A Heroine’s Journey: Tales of Love, Despair, Faith and Forgiveness after deciding to do “something that would terrify her” in 2013. Today her 90 minute show has been performed in front of 500 global business leaders in Palm Springs, California; as part of a leadership initiative at Mt. Holyoke College, at the Unicorn Theatre in Stockbridge and in front of audiences young and old, far and wide, both in the United States and overseas. She wrote the show as a personal memoir of her life journey, recognizing that underneath our personal stories is a collective human story, one in which we are all heroes and heroines on the journey of our life.

Amber’s forthcoming book of reflections, “Dear Beloved: Sacred Messages to the World” will be published this summer by Balboa Press (a division of Hay House), incorporating 12 original mandala drawings with 12 potent messages about meeting the uncertainty of our times.

Through her global work with talented women–in places like Rwanda, Afghanistan, Darfur and Iraq – she founded several successful companies (including The Women’s Peace Collection and Prosperity Candle) and has been widely featured in the media, including Marie Claire Magazine, Oprah Magazine, CNN News, and the New York Times. Amber’s life experiences led to the design of her signature visionary coaching programs that support women in skillfully navigating the deep transitions in their lives. She now offers visionary retreats for women both in the foothills of the Himalayas and desert regions of India and in the cloud forest in Nicaragua.

Amber was born in Uganda of East Indian parents and fled the country as a refugee under the tyrannical reign of Idi Amin. Today, she makes her home in the bucolic hills of the Berkshires. To learn more about her, visit: www.amberchand.com
